Discipline Momma Style

What happens when your child's teacher phones your home at 4pm on a weekday afternoon?

What happens when your children scream and yell....and wrestle while you are talking to your child's teacher on the phone?

What happens when your children follow you to the bathroom (where you are hiding) while talking to your child's teacher on the phone?

What happens when your children yell "I LOVE YOU MRS. TEACHER" and "I WANT TO MARRY YOU MRS. TEACHER" on your other phone while you are talking to your child's teacher on the phone in the bathroom where you are hiding?

You hang up the phone.

Yell.

Take a deep breath.

Speak calmly but firm.

Yell because your children are not listening.

Sit them down at the table and force them to write a letter to the teacher you were talking to on the phone.

Force both children to sign it.

Have your child give it to his teacher the next day.

That is what happens.

Kids!!! They're the salt of the earth if you ask me. And, being a grandma, with older grandsons....I can sit back and laugh at this, only 'cause I can remember generations of stuff happening that you are dumbfounded with their actions.

Come see my W W if you have some time today.

My kids have done that, well, not the saying they love their teacher part, but cried and whined and yelled and followed me into my closet or the garage or wherever I was hiding while on the phone. It's one of those things that drives me crazy. I think the note was a good idea. :)

Love it! I am so glad that I am not the only one who has those "pull your hair out" moments!

Well, at least you didn't make them write it 200 times! But isn't it nice that they love their teacher? ; )
