What is so special about this guy?
I am not one to judge but when I see girls going crazy over this guy, I have to wonder.
And look.
And look some more.
I just don't get it.
Maybe I am old and out of touch with what is "in", but...well.......I don't see it.
No, I havent seen the movie.
But I have read the first two books.
In the Twilight series for those of you who are wondering.
This guy is not who I picture when I think of Edward.
I think if I did see the movie, I would be disappointed.
Are you in love with this guy?

I pictured Edward as a young Johnny Depp.
I don't mind this guy but I don't really see what all the hype is about.
I am with you!! And the movie, really wasn't that good...the acting was pretty bad (I thought)

Well, I'm one of those TwiMoms who are Team Edward obsessed. I think I just remove the Robert from it and imagine him as Edward and since I LOVE Edward, it works for me. The funny thing is that I actually do kinda like Robert all on his own, quirky British accent and all. I'm kinda weird like that!
I don't see what all the fuss is about. (But then again, I'm not one to make a huge fuss and be "in love" with someone I will never even meet. That just seems so stupid. Isn't love based on relationships anymore? Is that an old-fashioned idea too? Is it too much to ask for someone to actually interact with a person before they start to go crushing on them?) I also think his voice is totally totally wrong in the movie from the book.
It's not him at all. When he was first announced as the actor playing edward, all the tweens were pissed cuz he's not attractive.
He's just the personification of every little girls dream guy. Lucky him. I wanted a guy like Edward (not Robpatt) while I was reading the books.
Now the guy who plays Emmett... he's the hottie.
Am I dating myself?! I think he's pretty darn cute and I am FAR from being a tween. The portrayal of Edward in the movie was awful but I find the guy to be eye candy. I can't explain my thoughts other than, "Hey, that guy is cute!"
I think a big part of his appeal is that to a lot of the readers, he is Edward.
Have you ever heard him in an interview? He is really dull.

I haven't seen any of the movies or read any of the books. I'm so out of touch. I'm still watching my DVDs from the Buffy series... now THAT was a vampire show worth watching. ;)

THANK YOU!!!!! I have been wondering the exact same thing for a LONG time...and just for record, I may be THE only person who has not read any of the books, seen the movie(s), or interested in anything related to this Twilight phase...and NEVER will be! :)
But I amglad to know I am not the only one who thinks this guy is no cuter than the guy next to me at the stop light in town....
Those are my thoughts EXACTLY! They did not cast the movie well at all. The actors they chose do NOT resemble the characters in the book one iota. And that guy is just not that hot.
Oh, and the movie stunk. Big time.

I definitely don't get it either. I think the other guy is MUCH, MUCH hotter, you know the one that's dating Taylor Swift? Yeah, but I could be his mother probably so...ACK!
I think he's cute........BUT, I'm certainly not smitted. That's the thing with movies made from books.......the actor never looks how I think they should. :)
I pictured him different too... I was totally in love with him as I read the book - Definitely preferred him over Jacob, but I agree - Not what I pictured.
