It still looks the same.
Except messier.
And why take pictures of a messy, unfinished room twice? There is no way I could make it look any better.
Damn kids.
Who would have thought they would actually have to eat?
Geesh.
I admit it. My office is in complete disarray.
It is currently an empty room.
With a computer on an old kitchen table.
And empty boxes.
And toys.
So basically it is our junk room.
I am thoughtful enough to not put you through the misery of witnessing our mess.
I am nice like that.
You're welcome.
What I will do is show you a few non-messy pictures of the colours of the room that I will not be changing because we love them
And then I will tell you about the look I would love to have.
Sound good?
Then you can tell me to go ahead and spend thousands of dollars to make it look awesome.
And you will also give me the $$ to do it because you're nice like that.
Right?
This is the hardwood floor. It is dark. And I have a few of these baskets that will eventually be used in here.
This is the paint colour. I like to call it caramel but it almost looks orange in the picture. It is not orange. Honest.
Not that there is anything wrong with orange.
I actually like the colour very much.
The window without any curtains. Ugh.
My plan is this.
Have a dark coloured desk with bookshelf.
Some plants. Because I love plants!
And some artwork that we have sitting around waiting to be hung up.
Then I will put some locks on the door so I can spend hours of uninterrupted time on my laptop editing photographs and blogging. Because that is what I like to do so much.
Now will someone just pay me to do it.
But anyways, in all honesty the plan I have for this room is to make it a "homework room" for the kidlets. I want a common place for them to have all of the necessary "school stuff" so they can comfortably (and willingly) complete their homework in a central location.
And so Momma can keep a close eye on what they search for on the Internet.
Because if you knew what my 8 year old has already been caught searching, you might just cry.
I did.
I need counselling because of it.
I digress......
A very long post for an almost non existent room. You will be the first to know when it finally gets completed.
As soon as the donations come pouring in.
And my children no longer feel the need to eat.

It's going to be beautiful - I can already picture it!
You crack me up :) We have the same "orange" color in our home - expcept ours is in the entry/stairway! I'd love to see how you coordinate furniture around it - the color was here when we moved in and I'm not quite sure what to do with it!
Your posts are very well written.
And if you saw what our spare room looks like right now (like a sewing kit blew up or something) you would not feel so bad about the art work that you have yet to hang up (we have some of that too).
I like the paint color, even if it does look orange!
You are so funny. I wish I had more friends that told it like it is. I don't comment much, but you made me laugh so hard. I just had too. I think once the donations start coming in your office will be beautiful. I LOVE the paint color!
Have a great weekend! :0 )
My check is in the mail! (But wait, you say. I never gave her my address. But that is OK ... because there is no check!!!)
I like the idea of a central homework table. That is a good idea. And I don't even want to know what an 8-year-old might find on the internet. .. I'll find out soon enough.
Your not the only one with the same misery of office/playground/storage=)
