Momma's Year in Review

Happy 2009. How the heck did that happen? Remember when we were young and 2009 seemed so far away and we thought that by that year we would run our lives with computers, barely talk to people in person and drive cars powered by vegetable oil? Yikes.....

Anyways, I am completing my first assignment of the New Year given by MamaKat. I am to do a list about 2008.

I thought I would create a month by month list of my year. Enjoy.

Momma's year. The year 2008.

January 2008

I was pregnant....really pregnant. I was hormonal. Our new house was in the process of being built and our lives were very busy. I was hormonal....pregnant and our house was being built. Not a good combination. My baby boy turned 4.

February 2008

It snowed alot. Alot doesn't even describe the amount of snow we got. It snowed so much that we couldnt even get out of our front door. It snowed so much that my poor dog walked outside and couldnt move. He just looked at us with a look of "Are you f-in crazy?" on his face. My big boy turned 6. How did I become a mom to a 6 year old????

March 2008

It snowed...and snowed...and snowed.....and snowed.....even more than February. I was extremely pregnant, hormonal....and our house was on the market. Looking back on it I am surprised anyone around me got out alive and even more surprised that I didn't end up in the local psychiatric ward. Our house sold after 2 weeks.

April 2008

Our baby girl was born. Along with the birth of my two boys this was the best day of Momma's life.

May 2008

We moved into our new house 2 weeks after Princess was born. I do not recommend that to any hormonal new mother. I celebrated my 33rd birthday. Ugh.

June 2008

Messy graduated from Senior Kindergarten and Rowdy graduated from preschool. A very emotional week for Momma.

July 2008

In the midst of summer holidays. Momma was low on sleep and had three kids at home all day every day....................only two months until school.

August 2008

The summer was actually going by pretty fast to my surprise. I thought by this time I would have run away from home and have no plans of going back but we all survived.

September 2008

First day of Grade 1. First day of Junior Kindergarten. In.a.new.school. I think the transition was harder on me than the boys.

October 2008

It was finally starting to feel like home in our new home. Life is good.

November 2008

Princess woke up with teeth. Ok, not really. It was about a week of not sleeping or eating and LOTS of drooling, then the teeth showed up. She also figured out how to move around like a snake on the floor. Life will never be the same. Crawling came soon after. We had snow. We also had late summer temperatures. My very masculine boys discovered my nail polish and could not understand why they couldn't wear it. Who made that rule anyways? (Donations being taken for future therapy bills. See email addy on right.)

December 2008

Everyone was sick at some point during the month. It has become tradition that December is "Sick Month" in our household. If there is a germ out there, we will all get it at some point. Momma shopped....alot....even while sick. *bows* Boy children were in their school holiday concert and the beginning of their career began. We baked....we crafted......we baked some more...we crafted some more. Christmas arrived.

Bring on 2009. Except starting this year my age will go backwards...............I am looking forward to turning 32 (again).
