A Tour.....Kinda

Ok, I admit it. My office is in complete disarray.

It is currently an empty room.

With a computer on an old kitchen table.
And empty boxes.
And toys.

So basically it is our junk room.

I am thoughtful enough to not put you through the misery of witnessing our mess.

I am nice like that.

You're welcome.

What I will do is show you a few non-messy pictures of the colours of the room that I will not be changing because we love them

And then I will show you the look I would love to have.

Sound good?

Then you can tell me to go ahead and spend thousands of dollars to make it look awesome.

And you will also give me the $$ to do it because youre nice like that.

Right?

This is the hardwood floor. It is dark. And I have a few of these baskets that will eventually be used in here.

This is the paint colour.I like to call it caramel but it almost looks orange in the picture. It is not orange. Honest.

The window. With a shade but no curtains. I will probably do a chocolate colour for the curtains.

This is what I would love to do.

Have a dark coloured desk with bookshelf.

A puurty area rug.

Some plants. Because I love plants!

And some artwork that we have sitting around waiting to be hung up.

Filing cabinet.

I would also love to have a leather arm chair with small side table but I couldnt find a picture that I liked.

Now I just need to win the lottery.

I guess I better start playing before I can win.

Or you could all be so nice and have a "Feel Sorry for Momma Day" and take donations for "Momma's Office Fund".

Just Kidding!!!

I was just thinking out loud.

Toodles!

I think you have some nice aspirations for the room. We got our office furniture at Sam's Club and it was actually pretty reasonable and great quality. Good luck with getting that done (and winning the lottery)!

What IS the color of that room, if you remember? It looks similar to my den color and that was called Mannered Gold. LOVE it. It, too, changes shades in the daytime/nightime and I love that.
Nice photography too...well laid shots! ha

I love the ideas you have for the room - it's going to look spectacular! I suppose you do have to play to win when it comes to the lottery...I'm always hoping to win, but I never buy tickets so I guess that would be a miracle, hmmm? ;)

I do like the wall color. Even thought I can't see the exact color, (it didn't look orange) and it coordinated well with the floor.

I think every single room in my house I know what I would LIKE it to look like! And yeah, winning the lottery would help with that ... we joke about it. We've never bought a lottery ticket. We thought about it once but it just seems so silly!

Ohhhh...I LOVE your dark hardwood floors with the beautiful white baseboards!!

When I moved into my house, I picked out a laminate flooring that I now kind of regret. I wish I had gone for the dark wood!!

I love your office aspirations! Good luck making it all come true... I know you will in some way!
