What has happened to me??

Before the New Year arrived, I planned on making huge changes to my lifestyle.
And I have.
I am in my fourth week of this huge lifestyle change and have never felt better.
Honest.
I have lost 8 pounds.
15+ inches.
Can run 2 miles and not feel like I am dying after.
Really.
Crazy huh?

When I entered this "change of life", I prepared myself for alot of change.
What I didn't prepare myself for was the many new foods and textures I would be eating.
I have serious texture issues my friends.
So when I saw cottage cheese, oatmeal and smoothies in the recipes, I threw up a little in my mouth.
Ok, alot.
Ew.

I am now eating tofu {in smoothies}.
Soy nuts.
Wasa bread.
Veggie Ground Round.

And you know what?

I actually like it all.

That's so cool. I encourage my kids to try foods they haven't liked every once in a while and also to try them in different recipes because things taste different as we get older. I didn't like avocados, onions, nuts, and vinaigrette dressing when I was younger. I do now!

Good for you, too! You are doing great!

Good for you for making such a great change. I have to admit that I have had a hard time doing the same for myself. I've never been able to get used to eating real brown rice. Gaggggg.

Good for you! I've always wanted to make tofu, my mom makes it in a pasta sauce and it's pretty good. Glad to hear you like it and the other foods and are on the road to good health. Congrats and keep it up!
