Letters of Intent

I'm feeling the need to write a few letters...just because.

Dear Blog Readers
It is ok that 2 of you left me in the same day. It doesnt bother me at all. I dont take it personally. Ok, I do and I have been drinking ever since.

Dear Mom on the Plane with a Very Cranky 14 Month Old
Let me start by saying "I understand and sympathize with you". I am a mom myself and know that it is difficult to take any young children on a plane. So when your daughter whined and cried for most of the 5 hour flight, it didnt bother me at all. I absolutely did not consider jumping out or hiding in the bathroom until we landed. I didnt want to cry...or whine because I just wanted a little bit of peace and quiet. It's all good.

Dear Middle Child
I understand that you really want tattoos. I hear you when you let me know that it would make you a "Yo Dude" if you had them. But you are 6. I have never seen a 6 year old with tattoos and hopefully never will. Drawing all over your body with permanent marker to show me how cool it looks will not convince me that it is a good idea. The.Answer.Is.No.

Dear Poached Eggs
You are my new favourite food.

Dear Jesse James
What on Earth were you thinking? Biiiiiiiig mistake buddy. Huge.

great blog! i loved all your letters. My 3 year old daughter has recently seen her aunt with tattoos and thinks she can color on herself to get tattoos also. Um..NO!

My girls ask me if they can get piercings because I have them....I've told them no way not till they are older like Mommy. Rylee wants make-up for her SK graduation gift!!!!! Her comment was, "Well Mommy, I'm a big girl now."

Think of losing reader this way, you are not losing them, they are just switching to subscribers. :)

lol, when you mentioned the tatoo I thought I knew what you were going through ... my daughter wants snake bites. Snake bites are 2 piercings on her bottom lip. Your son is 6, so you can put out that fire easily. With rub on tats :). My daughter is 12. I have to put this fire out by giving her away or drinking heavily.

OMGosh - I loved every single one of your letters!

I hate when people unfollow... I'm not a strong enough person to handle it, ha ha.

The cranky kid on the plane... sometimes there's a silver lining to my deafness :)

Totally cracking up over the marker tattoos! At least they were on HIM, rather than the furniture, right? :)

Seriously?!?! I went through a poached egg phase too - and I am craving some right now!

Jesse James. Just ouch. Sad, just really sad.

I loved your letters and I'm visiting from Julie's. Sorry about the followers, you've gained a new one in me today though! I hear ya on the tats only my kid is 17 and soon I won't be able to stop him. I have one and so does his dad but we got them when we were 30, not 18...UGH

I try really hard to not pay attention when I lose a reader or two, but OUCH! It stings, for sure. I usually come up with some crazy excuse like, they had to go into hiding with the CIA, or something like that. HA!

My first time here. Glad to be here!

Have a great weekend!

Oh my gosh- a FIVE hour plane ride with an unhappy kid the WHOLE time? Torture. Ugh.

You are in for a run for your money with tattoo son. Look into buying one of those anklet trackers now. He'll probably need it in a few years.

And those followers- they S.U.C.K.

Thanks for linking up!

Hey ... I go away and you get a new blog look. Very clean and lovely! : )

I was totally afraid my Little One would be "that kid" on the plane on our recent trip to California but he was a champ. Whew!

And I back you 3000% on the tattoo.

Sorry your flight wasn't too peaceful.

Our 6 yr olds sound very different. I bet yours could beat mine up. ;-)
