I am busy. I am overwhelmed with everything I have to do before Santa comes to our house. Every year I say I will finish my "To Do List" early so I have time to sit, relax and enjoy it all.
Instead I am running around like a chicken with its head cut off {ew}, trying to make my list shorter.
But it doesn't happen.
And then Mother Nature hit us with a huge snowstorm so I cant drive carelessly and I actually have to pay attention to the speed I am driving.
Damn her.
So I am running around in knee deep snow on a foot that was recently broken. I am terrified that one wrong move will snap the bugger again and I will end up in a cast for 8 more weeks.
Oh yeah...and this is happening at our house.
So now I have to be all friendly and stuff to the builders, contractors, shirtless excavator operators and inspectors. When all I really want to do is get out of the van and run inside to my cocoon {house} and drink my overwhelming worries away.
Merry Friggin Christmas.

I see the "real" holiday spirit is upon you. You know what to do to fix that? Gift cards. Whoever you've not shopped for yet is getting a gift card. The less appropriate, the better. Grandpa can get one to Victoria's Secret. The school teacher who you forgot to buy an apple-themed ornament for? She gets a gift card to the liquor store.
Happy RTT
What are they building? Anything fun?
How much can you order online?
Chocolate makes everything better. Eat lots of chocolate! :)
Does the cold make the foot ache? I would be nervous too! Be careful!
What are they building?
Drive like you want to - it is those other idiots you have to watch out for!!
Great random post! :)
Oh those lovely holidays.
I agree with Heatherlyn... chocolate make everything better!!

This sounds so famiar! Where have I heard it before? Oh yeah, in my own head! Be careful with that foot! I hope you find some things to cross off you list, so you can watch a holiday movie!
I'm in the EXACT same place as you right now! And what am I listening too? Hubby trying to make it an extended weekend for company that's visiting - rather than the dine & dash that was planned. Like I don't have anything to do this weekend but entertain! I'm thinking my head may explode.
It feels like a lot of bloggers are slowing down as the holidays consume them. I know I'm having a bit of a tough time and am cutting back.
Pass the eggnog, sister. And make it strong! I feel your, pain.
Hope you get through this holiday season. Be careful on the leg though since I would be sad to see it break again.
