If I could grow a field full of banana trees, I would do it in a heartbeat.
And then I would eat them all.
On my cereal.
On my eggs.
As a snack.
On my pancakes.
On a sandwich with peanut butter.
I would live in a tropical climate just so I could become a banana farmer.
I would deep fry them.
I would barbecue them with brown sugar, chocolate and marshmallows on top.
I would eat banana pie even though I hate pie.
Anything banana flavoured is a friend of mine.
I would donate bananas to people who loved them but couldn't afford to buy them.
I would even share some with my kids because they love bananas almost as much as me.
Because I am nice like that.
I tell my grossed out hubby that it dates all the way back to when we were monkeys/apes/cavemen.
He agrees, but then argues the fact that so many people dislike them.
I then remember that I have family who used to live in a tropical climate where banana trees grow everywhere.
And they sliced them on top of their eggs.
And cereal.
And pancakes.
They deep fried them.
Made pies.
Grilled them.
And gobbled them up as snacks.
And it all makes sense.
It is hereditary.
I am just following in the footsteps laid out before me.
Thank goodness my family didn't love onions...or peppers...or walnuts.
Because, they are gross.
And deep fried walnuts is just wrong.
*Do you like bananas?
*Can you share some recipes please?
*Have you ever tried slicing them on eggs?
*Would you ever move to a tropical climate to become a banana farmer?
Here is the pic one more time, just because.

Too funny! You would fit in well at our house! My girls eat so many bananas the local market just starts boxing them up for us when they see us coming! :)
I do like bananas. They make every smoothie taste better. Even the smoothies with chocolate and peanut-butter taste better with a banana in them.
I also like them with cereal. And I'm going to try more banana desserts.
Have you seen those banana things on pinterest where they slice them and then dab some peanut butter on top and then dip them in chocolate and freeze them? I'm totally going to try that, too!
You really do like bananas. In my house they always go black before anyone eats them.

I love bananas,
My kids too.. one of the way we have it is fried bananas with ice-cream..you tried it before?
Fun! That is a whole lot of banana love. lol It is true how some people simply despise bananas. It must be a texture thing. I eat them out of necessity for running. One little banana packs a ton of vitamins.
This reminded me of shrimp loving Bubba from Forest Gump! Thanks for the early morning laugh.
I like bananas okay - but I don't "do" anything with them other than just peel and eat.
But I do make a mean banana bread (that I won't eat - I don't know, it doesn't appeal to me) that everyone seems to love. I've also made banana muffins that my son goes crazy for - again, doesn't appeal to me.
You crack me up! :) I love bananas, as does everyone in our household. Which is why I'm kicking myself for forgetting to pick some up yesterday when I did my semi-monthly grocery shopping. Which means I'll have to go on a banana run. ;)
There's an App for that
This post reminded me that I let a child eat the last banana a couple days ago. Must fix that!
Bananas are delicious. Especially when they are in icecream. :)
I like bananas but not to the extent that you do. I do however love them sliced up in icecream.

The Pioneer Woman stuffs the banana skins with smore stuff to roast on a campfire. She says she hates bananas too! They sure looked good if you ask me.
Have a great weekend!

I only like bananas when they are just at a certain point. The texture after that can really bother me. My husband (TechyDad) has a recipe that he uses with really ripe bananas - PB Banana ice cream. The trick, no real ice cream and the kids don't care!
I love bananas especially in pancakes. However, I don't think I could ever be a banana farmer. :-)

An Island Life
I have banana trees in my backyard. Only one tree has ever produced a few bananas and they were GROSS. I do like how cheap they are in the store though!
