Ike and Duke the {big fat} Horses

The blacksmith came yesterday to shoe the beasts and dig out Duke's abscess/boo boo.
It cost alot of money.
The vet came today to vaccinate the beasts and to look at Duke's abscess/boo boo.
It also cost alot of money.
The vet said they are fat and need to eat less.
My husband is offended and devastated.
But Duke has had a boo boo so has not been worked much.
Duke likes to eat grass.
Duke rarely lifts his head from the pasture because he is eating.
No wonder he is a fattie.

Ike and Duke like to be showered.
See.

They would stand at the fence all day and just let you spray-soap-brush-repeat.

Why, you ask?
DSC_0981
Because they do this.

Fatties.

Your big guys are handsome! (Even if they are a bit too hefty (even) for draft horses.) I love Percherons!

Thank you for sharing at Rural Thursdays this week. xoxo

Their coats are gorgeous when they are shiny like that! It's kind of funny you have fat horses. I'd say it is a nice problem to have. :)
