Spa Day

It was spa day here at the homestead.

Ike and Duke were pampered.
Fussed over.
Loved on.

And look like new men.
If there were lady horses here I know they would have been all over the freshly manscaped boys.
But there aren't any.

So I took a few photos to make sure that they got a little attention.
That's what boys need.
Attention to let them know that they've still "got it".
To let them know they are noticed.

Right?

Their manes were trimmed and thinned out.

Look at it blowing in the breeze like he is in some sort of hair product commercial.

Their hooves were oiled.

Women love nice feet.

Their beards were trimmed.
DSC_0596
They were looking a little like this.
Good looking, but somewhat unkempt.

And even their whiskers were cut.
DSC_0600
I like their whiskers and will miss them dearly.

When it was all said and done, the handsome boys were allowed to trot around the neighbourhood.
DSC_0592
They held their heads up high and were on their best behaviour.

I think hubby even heard a few whistles and cat calls along the way.

Gorgeous horses. I like horses' whiskers too (and dogs's whiskers) and I would have left them!

Lucky Ike and Duke to have such good stylists--good thing to do going into the winter. Based on their gear, I think they're accustomed to being pretty well turned out. Love how patient they look in your photos.
