Pinterest Picks

Confession time.
I do not decorate for Halloween.
And rarely do I attempt any crafts because I get so easily frustrated with my independent, head strong children.
Shame on me.
Just say it.
One thing I do during the Halloween season is eat mini chocolate bars. Alot of mini chocolate bars. In my "non-crafty, but wanna be crafty" mind, I have even thought about creating a mini chocolate bar wreath.
But I would have to hide it so my children wouldn't eat it.
And, c'mon, we all know I would totally eat it all in one sitting.

Since I don't decorate or do crafts during Halloween, I was nice enough to search Pinterest for all of you that I love so much.
You are welcome.
Go crazy with these great ideas and eat mini chocolate bars while making them all.

Xmas Decor a la Maison de Momma

Christmas Tour of Homes with The Nester

Ok. I am not French. Could you tell?
Today I am participating in a Christmas decorating link-up put on by this wonderful place.

Like I have said many, many times, if it has to do with Christmas, I am in because I love it so darn much.
But let me just ask you, doesn't it feel like it was just August??
It feels just like yesterday that my boys were swimming nude in our pool just like every other kid does.

Right?

Anyways......

I must apologize for the photographs. My {professional photographer quality} camera broke while we were in Florida {with some help from my hubby} so it is in being repaired until January.

*sniff*

Our other camera is nice to have so I can have it in my purse at all times but you can really see the difference in quality.

I say put a Sony DSLR on your Christmas list because nothing beats it.

Anyways........

On to my house and my Christmas decor. In my opinion you can never have enough Christmas decorations throughout your home and as I get older, I am sure I will decorate each room in my house according to themes.

One room will be the Santa room. Another the Angel room. And so on. Would you still love me???

Here is our upstairs Christmas tree. It is fake, but we still love it. It is in our dining area in front of our big front window so the one or two cars that pass by our house every night can see it lit up.

It is decorated with my ornaments that my dear Mother purchased for me growing up and the ornaments we have purchased for each of our children every year.

And lots of picture ornaments.

Because I love pictures. Alot.

This is the kids tree at our entrance. They put it up and decorate it with the ornaments that they have made. I absolutely love it.

Messy's ornament from 2007.

Rowdy's ornament from last year.

Everyone say "Awwwwwww".

Garland on our railings decorated with poinsettias and mini balls. I am trying to find clear battery operated lights to wrap in the garland but it appears everyone beat me to it and I cannot find them anywhere. Hmph.

Pine cones and balls. They are pretty much everywhere throughout the house.

We stuck with a "rustic/natural" theme in our downstairs area just because we like it and it goes with the decor of the rooms. This angel is hanging on our closet door near the entrance.

Our mantel.

Family room. Our real tree decorated with natural ornaments. And feathers. :-) Because every Christmas tree needs feathers!!!!

And birds

And birdhouses.
As much as I love Christmas, the decorations dont mean a thing without
and
That's all that matters.
Happy decorating mon amis!!!!!!!

Time for a Tour.

Time for a tour of Le Maison de Momma.

That means "Momma's house" in French. I think
I am Canadian and do know very little French believe it or not.

I dont know about you but I love to see the way other people live. I love to share ideas. I love to copy.

And for those of you who get offended when people copy you, you shouldnt. You should be flattered that someone else liked the idea enough to put it in their own home.

So there.

We moved into this home a year ago tomorrow and I still do not have curtains, area rugs and all of the knick knacks that make a house a completed home.

Dont judge. I have three young children. I will do it in the next 20 years.

By then, I will want to redecorate. Or move.

Anyways, this is my living/family room.

Television etc. The table under the television is probably my favourite piece of furniture in the house.

I need something over this loveseat as it is an empty wall.

I also need lamps but am too picky.

And an area rug.

The little rainbow thingy on the floor is a toy.

And beside it (to the left) is a dog bed and toy box.

Just in case you were wondering.

So there you have it my friends. I have let you into my house and kinda feel like I am on the show "Cribs".

Except I am not a celebrity.

And I am not rich.

And I do not own a multi million dollar mansion.

But it is my home and I love it.

Thanks for stopping by.

Au revoir.

That's "goodbye" in French.

Now go check out many, many more living rooms here and copy them. It is ok. I said so.
