Giveaway!

My mother is a smart lady. My mother's mother is a smart lady.

I have learned alot from both of them.

But this is one thing I have learned from my mother that will be forever passed down through the generations of our family.

I am sure you are dying to know.

What is it you ask?

Well, just hang on and I will tell you.........

For months I have been living in fear. I have dreaded meal time because it involved holding Princess' hands away from her head while holding the bowl and spoon and cringing every time I gave her finger foods because I knew it would be used as hair gel.

Or......

Getting frustrated because I had to plop her in the tub after every meal to get sweet potatoes and pasta sauce out of her locks.

Or.........

Washing her hair with a wet cloth and allowing her to be seen in public with greasy, smelly hair.

Eww.

And then my mom told me something. Something that has changed my life. Something that has made meal time more...well....enjoyable.

"When you were a little girl, you did the same thing and I would put a scarf in your hair."

HOLY CRAP! Why didn't I ever think of that? Now I know why I sucked large at problem solving in grade school.

Frig. My mother is a genius. She may have dressed me in red corduroy pants with pink and blue turtlenecks, but she is brilliant.

So I have been doing this.

Align CenterNo, it is not a scarf. It is an apron.

It does the job but looks absolutely ridiculous.

I have a solution to my problem.

When I am sad, I go here. When I am happy, I go here. When I am lonely, I go here. When I need a pick-me-up, I go here. It is the answer to many of my problems.

Etsy.

Not just Etsy in general.

This store.

This store makes the most beautiful head bands EVER. Instead of wrapping my daughter's head in an apron, I will now be putting her in one of these.

At meal time. All of the time.

Just for the fun of it and when I need to keep Princess' hair looking presentable.

And what is even better is this store is offering one headband to one lucky reader of my blog.

No hugs needed. Although I do like hugs....and chocolate.

This is what I want you to do.

Go to this store and check out the headbands.

Come back here and tell me what headband you would love to have for your little Princess.

I have many I love....like this one and this.....and this.

Follow my blog and get an extra entry.

Follow me on Twitter and get another extra entry.

Purchase something from this store and get 5 extra entries.

Be sure to leave a message for each of these so I don't lose my marbles trying to figure it all out.

Contest will run until June 10, 2009. I will notify the winner and Miss Stefanie will send them their headband.

WOOHOO!

Then we can take pictures of our stylin' girls and talk headbands. Because things like this make me happy.

Verrry happy.

Good luck!

* Go here to see Stefanie's photography site. You will not be disappointed.

OMG - this store is adorable! I like the lei breeze headband. My daughter refuses to keep anything on her head at the moment but I'm hoping she'll outgrow it any day!

Love the Etsy store ... and wow is your girl precious!!

Aren't Mom's amazing? I'm not sure where I'd be without my Mom's good advice either.

On a side note, I was terrible at word problems in school too. haha (probably still am!)

Stopping by via Thousand Word Thursday. Love your blog ... now following! :D

I love it! I just always plopped my kiddo in the tub. Of course, he'd get more than his hair messy. Princess just looks so happy!
