Yay for yards!

Welcome to my home!

Another week.

Another tour.

So let's get right to it.

Keep your shoes on because today we are staying outdoors.

Just make sure you have bug spray, and a light jacket.

The calendar says July but it feels like October.

Hmmph.

As you know from previous tours of my home, this place is new. A year old actually.

There was a home here, but we had an addition built on to it and pretty much had the entire house redone.

Which means there is no landscaping.

Sigh.

So we are starting from 0.

It is expensive and time consuming.

Especially when you have three young children.

So I have started gardening in small patches around the home.

I figure in about 7 years it will be just the way I like it.

Ugh.

Here is the small garden by our back entrance.

And here is the playground area.

As you can see there is a playground.

Sandbox.

And bin for toys.

That bin rarely has toys in it because my children take them out and leave them all over our property.

I look forward to visiting their home in 20 years and leaving things laying around...everywhere.

We have a small barn.

It is being prepared to be repainted and right now is used for storage.

One day my hubby will have horses.

So he says.

Here is our front garden.

Our deck in the back looking out to the playground area and large field.

This large field actually.

This is my favourite patch of trees off to the side of our property.

My plan one day is to have a sitting area under these trees with pretty flowery bushes.

This is the front of our home.

We have yet to complete the front porch.

Wonderful hubby of mine will be painting the front door a dark chocolate in the next few days.

And this is the view from under our big willow tree.

A farmer's field.

There you have it my friends.

There is a tip jar at the end of the driveway

Momma needs tips to afford the maintenance of this place.

Ugh.

Sweet yard!!! Lots of work, I imagine. (I mow our grass so that is always the first thing I think of when I see someone's yard!). Love the garden and the deck. Great place for kids to grow up and play!
