It appears my boys are horse lovers.
Recently they became somewhat obsessed with horses and showed an interest in riding lessons.
I thought that as soon as they got up close to the big, monstrous animals that they would be terrified and never want to go near one again.
I was wrong.
Very wrong.
Instead they count down the days until their next lesson.
Draw pictures of Belle and Ben.
And Pumpkin and Ferrari.
Tell me they miss them many times in a day.
And wear their helmets to bed.
Yes, really.

One problem.
It is friggin expensive!
I wont even tell you how much it is out of fear that you will call me insane for even considering it.
Lets just say they have had two lessons so far.
Which equals the same amount of $$$ as a night (or two) at a fancy hotel.
*sigh*
So Momma is taking donations.
Anything you can spare in this time of need.
Anyone?
Hello?
have more. Go there...go on.....get to it!

They look so happy...but, yikes! I hope my boys like things that don't cost that much.
Not that I have any hope of that. My middle son was looking at your pics with me and asking when he'd get to ride the horsies.
Beautiful pictures. I can understand your sons' obsession. I love horses. I haven't been riding in a long time. Back in '99, hubster had talked about our future and that someday I could have a horse. It's been almost 10 years later and still no horse. Someday...maybe when I retire. Happy WW and take care.
I think it's awesome they love it so much. My husband & I went to a horse farm/guest ranch last year and I fell in love with it but I know my son, at 6, wouldn't dream of getting on one. They must have an adventurous side.
That's cute. When they like something they get a little obsessive. Funny about wearing their helmets to bed! =)
Kids just seem to get more expensive as they grow. Good luck with this one.
so awesome and so good for them! My W/W post is my son on a horse as well!
Oh no! Do they offer scholarships? Or can the boys "work" at the ranch and help pay for tuition?
Wow! That is an expensive pasttime.
oh man I hear you - my daughter is IN love with horses - but to the tune of $40 for every 30 minute lesson!!
First comes lessons, then come a horse of their own!!
We just bought our first horse a few months ago.
But I feel your pain on the lessons. It is pricey!
Yeah....never did the horse thing. Rode one and that was enough.
I LOVED riding horses when I was younger. Luckily, I grew up in the south and pretty much everybody I knew had one so there was no 'fee' involved. lol Great pics :)
Oh, I know how much it is. This is the first summer that my kids have not had horse-back riding lessons. And I will also tell you that they LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE them. And ... I hope we can put it back in the budget again. Maybe I'm crazy. But ... I think you can relate. :) (And then, for the record, it makes me think that I would like some too. The horseback riding school near here is really nice. It looks like so much fun!)
Oh noooooo! My advice is to make friends with someone who has a horse! LOL!
And to make you hate me, my sister in law has a horse that my boys can ride whenever they want...and they aren't the least bit interested. Figures, right?
LOL, best wishes with that!
