Short Letters to my Family

Dear Princess,

This book was 34 years old. It was one of my favourites when I was your age and I looked at it for years keeping it in almost perfect shape. Grandma was nice enough to save it all of these years so I could pass it on to my children. She didn't hold on to it so you could destroy it. Momma is devastated. How....how could you?????

Dear Rowdy,

You know those sounds you make? The sounds that make me think we have unknown wildlife in our home. I don't like them. Not one bit. In fact they annoy the crap out of me and make me want to scream. I try my hardest to ignore them hoping you will stop on your own, but it hasn't worked yet. Can I pay you? Can I buy you candy? What will it take?

Love Momma

Dear Messy,

Just wanted to let you know that I can hear you say the d-word, s-word, f-word and many words I have never even heard of when you are playing in the basement. If you continue to use that language in my home, I will move your bed out to the barn and you can live out there.

P.S. Yes, I know your father uses these words on occasion but he is a grown-up

Love Momma

Dear Busy aka Mr. Momma aka My hubby

It is not ok to curse around your children. I know it is difficult to change your ways but please promise to try.

Also, watching Law and Order SVU with your young boys is not appropriate television for their age. Oh yeah, and I hate UFC fighting.

P.S Thank you for taking the day off work while I was sick on Friday. It meant the world to me.

Love your wife

OK lady- you need to link this up next Friday for my Letters of Intent. You will be a big hit!

I am so sad for your book- is it at all fixable?

I loved that book when I was little, sorry it got tore apart. Got any Book Tape?

I am so with you with the animal noises, my son makes the strangest sounds and they irk me.

Loved it!! Sometimes it just needs to be said that all the things are kids do may not make us smile, even after the fact :)

Dear Mama,
Sounds like you got your hands full. And I was horrified to see the murder of that book. So sad.
