My life is spiralling out of control lately.
Sometimes I need my children to snap me out of my own depressing thoughts.
Like when I captured Princess running through the yard in her dress, jewellery and rubber boots, smiling and singing to herself as loud as she could.
That is all I needed to snap out of it and realize that life is good.
And it is OK to have messy hair.
And to run in rubber boots.
And sing like no one is listening.

What a great photo and post! We can all learn a lot from 3 year olds!
Yup, that'll do it. Now, please....send me this picture/post every single day until I remember.
Three year old children are wise beyond their years!
That's such a great photo - I love how joyful she looks!
I absolutely adore that picture and I think it needs to be put on canvas and displayed in your home. So now that I've spent your money and decorated your house...I'm sorry things are so rough right now. I hope it turns around soon and you have that same pure joy that you have captured so beautifully in the picture of your daughter.
so very true!
I actually have a quote on my bedroom wall that reads: Sing like no one is listening. Dance like no one is watching and Love like you've never been hurt.
Yes! It's more than ok! It's wonderful!
Love that philosophy! Kids seem to bring us out of the darkest of days.
I just LOVE her hair and her smile in this shot! You are SO right. Kids show us these things so easily. I wish I could be that carefree again...
Absolutely! Darling, it all about the right accessories! Great lesson! :-)
Discovered you over at Seven Clown Circus and I'm so glad that I did. This is such a sweet and honest post. My children remind me how to be happy all the time-when they're not driving me crazy.
You said it perfectly. Our little ones, while sometimes driving us mad, truly help us see the world through a child's eyes again. And that ain't half bad.
Thanks for this!! I needed this lesson as well.
