Pinterest Stuff Reviewed

I am completely obsessed with Pinterest.
Facebook can go chew on rocks because Pinterest is my new best friend.
The cool best friend that I want to spend all of my time with.
I.Love.It.So.Friggin.Much that I would make out with it if I could.  But, just so rumours don't start I would not make out with a cool best friend, unless she was Angelina Jolie or Sofia Vergara.
Anyways....

I have found so much cool stuff on Pinterest that it makes me feel all "Icancook/craft/decorateanythingandveryonewillwanttobelikemeandIwilllivehappilyeverafter".

Does that make sense?

You get the idea.

Anyways....

I try stuff out when I am in the mood, and because I am nice and love all of you, I will let you know how it all turned out.

You're welcome.

Egg Brunch Casserole

I was so excited to find something to cook overnight, so we could enjoy a nice breakfast on Christmas morning.  It was very tough to sleep all night when the smell of eggs and bacon filled our house.  The brain confusion for both hubby and I was unbearable because our tummies wanted us to wake up and eat but our minds were exhausted from the Christmas celebrating.
Verdict:  It was OK.  We found it bland and needing more meat...or something.  The kids wouldn't touch it.

Broccoli

Roasted broccoli.  Parmesan cheese.  Olive oil.  Three of my favourite things.  I don't know about you, but I get tired of the same old steamed broc with cheese sauce so was so excited to find a simple alternative.
Verdict:  YUM!  It gets crunchy and crusty.  I load it with parm cheese and garlic but I am sure it would be good with any flavour of vegetable seasoning.  The kids wont touch it.  Whatever.

Peanut Butter Ball

Holy Mother of Gosh Darn, this is my version of crack!  Peanut butter and chocolate.  If I could have both in a constant drip on an IV, I would.  This has been made a few times now and gets rave reviews every time.  I must say, that I prefer dipping with apples over any other treats {Teddy Grahams, graham crackers, wafer cookies}, but it is all good.  Confession......I have eaten it by the spoonful more than a few times.
Verdict:  You cannot go wrong with this.  Unless there is a peanut allergy in the room.  This stuff is Awesome with a capital A.

Crack Potatoes

I must admit that I did not make this exact recipe but it is very similar so I am including it.  I used ham instead of bacon...and alot of it.  Ever heard the saying "A moment on the lips will be forever on the hips"?  So true for this.  I am sure I gained 12.2 pounds eating this stuff...and licking the bowl.
Verdict: YUM!  Will definitely make again.

Baked Spaghetti Casserole
As soon as I saw this recipe given by one of my favourite chicks, I knew I had to try it.  Not only does this gal have cute kids and family members who love farm animals and tractors, but she also makes good food!  This dish has become a regular on our menu.  I do, however use ground turkey and whole wheat pasta, just so I can justify eating it on a regular basis and call it "kinda healthy".
Verdict:  One of our favourites.  Highly recommended with garlic bread.....
...and sweet pickles.
But that's just my opinion.

I've been avoiding Pinterest because I'm afraid it will suck me in. All those look very yummy though.

I may have to go peek at it.

I love Pinterest so much. Now that my boards have grown so much I need to do some reorganizing to make things easier to find.

Like Gigi, I am avoiding Pinterest. I have a recipe for an egg casserole that you prepare the night before, leave it in the fridge overnight, and then bake it the next morning. I usually let it cook while we are opening presents on Christmas morning and it is all ready by the time we're done.

I love pinterest! I find it completely useful. I've made over a dozen recipes and most of them are excellent with only a few duds. I've used some of the organization/decorating ideas and even bought some of the clothing/jewlery I've seen (I mean, did you know that you can click on those outfits people put together and with a few more clicks find exactly where to buy the stuff? Amazing ... and slightly dangerous). I don't see how people can spend hours on the site, the time I spend is well-spent.
