Weekend Recap

Middle child informed me that the weekends are the favourite part of his life and I would have to agree completely.
I enjoy weekends...especially at  this time of year when the weather is awesomely awesome, the trees are green with new growth, the flowers are bright and all purrrty....and I don't have to wear socks.

I hate socks.
If I could go sock less 365 days a year, I would in a second.

Reason #743967967 I must move to the south.
Never wear socks again.

Anyways, this weekend was a success.
A success because it was busy.
A success because I found the time to relax in the midst of the busy-ness.
A success because I kept my mind busy enough to not feel like I wasthisclose to having a panic attack because I miss my Daddy so much.

Stuff that happened this weekend.

*I discovered this under our deck

*I bought an iPhone and fell madly in love with it. Send me your number. Lets text and instagram and all that fun stuff.

*Oldest child played the best basketball game of his season. The fact that he has found something he loves to play makes my heart happy.

*Studley the dog is still alive and breathing. This is a good thing.

*Ike and Duke got some exercise for the first time since April. I am not sure who was more excited to get out for it....my husband or Ike and Duke.

*I could not put this book down
Only one thing to say......
"bow-chicka-bow-wow".
OK, one more.......
"WOWSERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

*I spent Saturday evening with three of my closest childhood friends after years of distance. I am amazed how after years of living separate lives, we could just come back together as if nothing changed. Being a kid/teenager is rough, but I truly believe you pick friends that last a lifetime, no matter what happens. At this time of my life when I am going through such a horrible, craptastic time, I am thankful for every single relationship I have and will treasure each moment spent with the people I love dearly forever and forever.

Mushy, I know.

*I wore these shoes and I would like a pair in every single possible colour please and thank you

*I bought veggie plants for the garden. Prepare yourselves for many, many photos of tomatoes...
...cucumbers
...celery
...broccoli
...lettuce
...squash
...peppers
...onions
...spinach
...kale
...and even watermelon.

Can someone please build me one of these garden sheds?

What a great weekend.

Yes, love the shoes. i love the ballet flats in any color.

I love the gardening.

I love that you could take your horses out, and that your son found a sport he loves. basketball is a GREAT sport.

Spending time with friends is always a pick-me-up!

I also read 50 shades this weekend, and I'm already deep into the second one. I feel so naughty, thinking it's so hot!

Hey I'm a new follower :) love your blog! Congrats on having such a nice weekend, our weather was terrible (it snowed in fact...yeah, in may...) so we were stuck inside a lot.

Much love!
