A Barn in the Middle of Sturgeon Lake. Kinda.

It's Monday and it feels like a Monday.
I don't enjoy Mondays...especially in the summer, when my hubby is back to work and all three children wake up before 7am.
There should be some sort of law against children waking up so early during summer holidays.
And their punishment should be staying quiet until Momma wakes up at 9am or so.
If they don't, they should have to make her breakfast and behave for the next 24 hours.

Wishful thinking, huh?

So, I went on a boat cruise over the weekend...with my daughter....my Mother...my Grandmother....Aunt and Great Aunts.
I could live on a boat all summer long....with a washroom, running water and pretty scenery.
As I get older I am starting to realize that I want less, but I want to be where it is pretty.  I want a small home on the water where I can garden and sit in my Muskoka chair with a girly drink and pretty flowers surrounding me
That's not asking for much is it?

But this post has nothing to do with that.  I just have a habit of blabbing about random stuff.
Soooooooo, I went on a boat cruise....
I saw this barn...
It was pretty.

Thank goodness for my telephoto lens.
If you have a DSLR and you don't have a telephoto lens, you must run out right now and buy one because you will love it so much you might even kiss and hug it goodnight.
Not that I would do such a thing.
Ahem.

I didn't see any animals roaming the grounds but it was in the evening and maybe they were inside catching up on their beauty sleep.
But I couldn't help but wonder if they enjoy their spectacular view.
I wondered if they knew they were blessed to be able to enjoy the view of their gorgeous home and waterfront.

I wondered if they wished they had a couple Muskoka chairs, pretty flower planters and girly drinks to make their lives even more perfect.

Because that is just how I think.

Go on a dinner cruise at a place you love.
It is worth it.
Just make sure you have a telephoto lens.
And always wave at the cottagers you pass on the ride.
Because, then they wont mind if you take pictures with your monster size lens....
and talk about it on your blog.
I think.

I would LOVE to live on the water - says the girl who can't swim to save her life. But still. And that barn? Wow. I hope those animals appreciate just how good they've got it.

(And I think every parent shares your wishful thinking for their early-morning risers.) :)

Wonderful photos of a beautiful barn! I love my telephoto lens too. It's amazing how it allows you to see things you never would otherwise. We were on a cruise this weekend also, but it was a wedding reception and overcast and rainy, so I left the telephoto at home and brought the point & shoot instead.

No, they'd probably just wish their kids would sleep in too. :-) I don't have a great camera but am glad you do so we can see these lovely red and blue images. Give it a kiss for me, won't you?
