Random Rural Rigmarole

This is the first time in my life that I have ever used the word "rigmarole" and I am only using it because I looked it up on an online thesaurus.
I now plan on using it in every conversation, so look out!!!

This week has been a doozy on my mental state.
Iamthisclosetoheadingstraighttomytherapistshouse....
and moving in with her.

I have always doubted this country living crap because of the smells/bugs/dirt etcetera etcetera.....but this week has almost convinced me to move somewhere far, far away from the country.
Like in a box.
Padded room, maybe.

*a garter snake greeted us at our front door.....and back door.  Hold me.
{Thanks Google images}

*then I took one of the kittens to the vet because it had a large wound on its neck that wasn't healing.  I found out it was not a wound.  It was actually a living creature living in the kitten's neck!!!!
A cuterebra to be exact.
Barf.
Gag.

I brought it home in a jar of formalin if anyone would like to see it.
This is the hole it left behind.
Its ok.  Go ahead and throw up.  I will wait.
Kitten is now doing much better and the hole is completely closed Hallelujah Amen Thank You Lord Jesus.
Barf.
Gag.

*Smokey the cat killed a baby rabbit, then buried it under hay {without me knowing about it} in our barn and decided to eat it in front of her kittens and myself.

Puke.

*I chased after Ike and Duke the horses for over 20 minutes in the pouring rain...trying to bring them in the barn so they would stop eating grass because they are fatsos.
They pretty much laughed in my face and ran the opposite way whenever I came close to them.

Jerks.

*Dear Country Living.
Sometimes you suck balls.
Love Momma.

This post made me laugh. Sorry, I know it was yuck and bad. I shouldn't be laughing. Poor cat. At least the cat did in fact heal. I'd want to move to the city as well.

Good Goat! I think I found one of those the other day in a cocoon. I opened it up and pulled off lots of layers of cocoon shell. I found that inside. I fed it to the chickens. I'm glad that I found it before it got to one of our goats or our barn kitty! I'm glad your kitten is OK.

OK, I like snakes (as long as they won't poison you) because I like that they eat mice. Plus they are sort of cool.

The hole in the cat's neck is interesting. But I would never want to have a bug inside of me or anything I own. Yuck.

The cat eating the rabbit. Ewwww!!!!

But you chasing the horses in the rain ... that's funny. :)

I'd take country rigamarole over obnoxiously close neighbors any day!

Other than the burrowing bug, it sounds like a normal day around my place. Just replace "horse" with "goat" and you've hit it perfectly!
