Niagara Falls and my new BFF.

I never said I was quick to finish what I started.
When I started writing this post two months ago I had good intentions to put it out there asap......but then I didn't.
I was waiting to see if my new BFF would say mean things about me.
I was waiting to see if she hated my shoes.
My hair.
My children's behaviour.

OK, that's a lie.
I just forgot about it because I am a dork.
Totes.
{that means totally for all of you non-dorks}

Soooooooooooo.......here goes.
We went to Niagara Falls.  In July.  *cough*

My Summer Bucket List
*eat ice cream for dinner
*take kids on a road trip on my own

When my new BFF told me she was coming north from Texas to Niagara Falls, this gave me the perfect opportunity to take the kids, spend an obscene amount of $$$$.....and....meet my new BFF.

The "on my own" road trip quickly changed to "with my Mom" because I knew I couldn't handle my three kids on my own for more than 2 days while my monthly friend, "Fred" was visiting.
Don't judge.  I am only human.

Anyways.......we met up with my new BFF and her beautiful family at Maid of the Mist. Within 5 minutes of meeting, we dressed ourselves in large blue garbage bags so we could hop on a boat with hundreds of other sweaty humans. Fun times.

We are cute, right?

While getting splashed by the mist coming from the Falls and body checked by people trying to take my prime viewing spot, I was wishing that we had more of an opportunity to chit chat.
About our homes.
Our families.
Careers.
Life.
Chocolate.
Just anything.

But instead we were on a boat. In garbage bags. Getting wet. And body checked.

It's totally OK though.
Because I am going to come visit her and her wonderful family in Texas so they can show me around, take me to Cadillac Ranch, feed me Texan food, introduce me to Rocco the dog and teach me how to talk with their accent.

I probably wont ever want to come home.

Looks like it was a wonderful trip even though you didn't get a whole lot of quality time. I'd love to visit Niagra Falls someday but I gotta say, that's a whole lotta people on just one boat!
