So, just like the guilt-filled Mother that I am, I put Jersey in the house and spent some time loving the big, black beauties.
I called them Ikey Wikey and Dukey Wukey.
They nuzzled my face.
I said "I wuv you so much".
They tried to chomp on my boots.
That is true love, people.
What I love about the two best horses on Earth.
Their perfectly fuzzy ears that tell you exactly how they are feeling.
When they are pinned back, it means they are angry.
I guess that is all that really matters.
Their fuzzy, wuzzy, untrimmed beards.
Hubby saw these pics and was horrified because they need to be trimmed.
I think it makes them look manly, don't you?
Ike's white star.
I would like 10 more horses with white stars, please and thank you.
Their dinner plate-sized hooves.
The hooves that sound like thunder as they run up and down the pasture.
The hooves that kick the bugs away.
The hooves that wear the biggest horseshoes I have ever seen.
Their "gentle giant" personalities.
When small cats feel comfortable enough to go nose to nose with a 2000 pound beast, it makes my heart happy.
I would like to make a calendar of photos like these, just because.
Eyelashes.
{craptastic photo, but you get the idea}
Actually, I enjoy their very expressive eyes, but when I see long, dark eyelashes draping them, I cant help but try to capture the perfect photo.
I failed miserably this time.
The tinge of red in their sun-kissed manes.
Most horse people would cringe at the thought of anything other than an all-black mane, but I love it.
It adds personality....
...and a bit of colour to their all black bodies.
Ok. I admit it.
I love everything about them.
Except when they chomp on my boots.

I pink puffy heart the new design.
I had no idea horses had beards. So strange!
Love the new design - and the horsies!
Boyfriend said he'd get my baby girl a horse. I don't think he realizes when you tell an 11 year old girl you'll get her a horse she will NEVER forget! Muah hahaha!

LOVE your new design. And now I also want pet horses... :)
Well aren't they just gorgeous!
Just yesterday I was reading that the horse of choice for the British farmer during the war years was the Percheron, because the breed has so many admirable qualities. Looking at the pictures of your two magnificent horses, I can see why! They are so handsome!
Stopping by from the Rural Thursday blog link up:)
Great photos! My favorite is the one with the cat. So sweet :)
What a great sequence of shots! Happy 10-11-12♫♪
For a non-horse-liker these are good shots. I am obviously attracted to the cat picture. Do the cats hang with the horses often?
p.s. I hope you're settling into your design
I love them to! You really captured their fine qualities.
