The Cat Thieves

The kittens are 8 weeks old. DSC_0658
There are 2 girls and 1 boy

They are solid black with no distinguishable markings.

Their mother went missing 3 weeks ago.
We were convinced the coyotes got her because...well...why would she leave her babies?
Yesterday we found out that our neighbours down the road have her locked in their shed.
They thought she was a stray.
Call me crazy, but if I saw a black cat in the country with full, recently used boobies, I would not lock her in my shed.
I would let her go back to wherever her babies are.

But that is just me.

She has not been returned to us.
Maybe I will take the kittens down to her.
Just an idea.

Locked in a shed?! Wtf?! Weirdos.

Why would they lock a stray in the shed anyway? Wouldn't you just leave a stray alone? Or did they want to keep her? Poor little kitties... I hope they get to re-bond with their momma!

Why in the hell would you lock any cat in the shed?! And why haven't they returned her?

What kind of neighbors do you have?

Lucky you. I am so looking for a fluffy black make kitten and you have 3. Lost my black boy a year ago and am wanting to find another. I miss him so much.

First, with neighbors like that I would keep a really close eye on my kids :-) Second, I think you should reunite mamma cat with baby kitties...just seems right somehow. Maybe if you show up with them they'll give you her?

People don't think before they do, anymore... it's awful how everyone is only concerned w/ me, me, me, isn't it!
Those babies are adorable... can't believe they have no markings to tell them apart. Look at those eyes =)

Those kittens are absolutely beautiful! I really hope they get to reunite with their mother soon! You'd think the neighbors would be happy to have found the owner...

That is crazy! I think you should definitely take the kittens down to her: problem solved of giving away kittens!!!!!

They are cute but is it weird that they scare me a little?

So if the neighbors know that she's not a stray, why aren't they giving her back? What is wrong people??? Those kittens are beautiful!
