Cuteness

Let me just give you a word {or two} of advice.
If you have a little girl who loves ponies and unicorns and all things horses, you must go out and buy her an equestrian outfit.
Just because it is the most ridiculously cutest sight you ever will see.

The gloves.
The boots.
The toobigforherbutt pants.
Ohmygawd.

I almost died from the cuteness.

And then, when she walked around like she totally "owned" the farm in her too cool outfit, I breathed in that moment.
DSC_0295
That moment when her confidence soared and she worked it.
She didn't care if other people giggled or rolled their eyes{which we totally did not do}, because, in her brilliant little mind she was da bomb.

I love that.
And I love these boots.

My next goal in life is to find someone who can make her a Laura Ingalls {Little House on the Prairie} outfit.
Then I will braid her hair.
And she will march around this lil' farm, bonnet and all......with her pony named Cindy.

Tiny Dancer

As I sat in the large open room waiting to photograph my girl during her dance class, I found myself getting teary-eyed.
DSC_0773
Because I am the mother of a little girl who loves to dance.
DSC_0717DSC_0720
Because my little girl listens....and follows directions...and does her best while smiling ear to ear.
DSC_0726
Because my little girl isn't so little anymore.

Because my little girl isn't much younger than those beauties who lost their lives in Connecticut.

Because my little girl is my life.
DSC_0748
And I couldn't imagine my life without her in it.

And I count my blessings every day.

You can be jealous. It's OK.

Do your kids always make the same face when having their picture taken?
Do they have to see the photo immediately after you take it?
Do you fall madly in love with them again every time you capture their personality?
Do you wish you had 22 kids?
Can you carry one for me because I hate being pregnant and then hand him/her over to me after you go through the excruciating pain of labour and birth?
Just wondering.

Dance class

My life is complete.
Princess takes dance lessons. DSC_0255
With the ballet shoes and body suit and pink tights
DSC_0231
She loves it with all of her precious, beautiful heart.
This makes me very happy.

Because I used to take dance lessons

Except I sucked
DSC_0241
And she doesn't.
I just know she will be the best little dancer in town.
DSC_0173
And then she will teach her Momma how to have some rhythm
DSC_0194
OK.
Maybe not.
Because I will never, ever look good in any sort of dancing outfit again.
And my life is complete just watching her
in her pink tights
and bodysuit
and ohsocute ballet slippers.

Daughters and Dancing

She is over 3 years old and takes up alot of my time, but I still have to pinch myself when thinking about being a Mommy to a little girl.
I never knew how much I wanted to have a daughter until I had one.
And now that she is out of diapers, in love with princesses, dresses and all things girly, I am realizing just how girly I am too.
So when we went to the local dance apparel store to purchase her "dancing clothes", I think I was maybe just a little more excited.
OK. Alot more.
Upon stepping into the best place on Earth the dancing store, I might have let out a loud squeal and jumped up and down...then twirled...and skipped over to the skirts and tutus.
I will never tell.
They had skirts and frilly tutus and princess wands and tiaras and even ballerina Xmas tree ornaments and ballet shoes and bags with tutus on them.
I.Was.In.Heaven
And so was the girly daughter of mine.
In fact, she was so overwhelmed that she actually sat on the floor with a wand in one hand and tiara in another and said "I never want to go home."
Or maybe that was me.

DSC_1219
Is it wrong that I wanted to sign her up for jazz? And Tap? And buy her absolutely everything in the pretty pink store?
DSC_1221DSC_1217
Is it wrong that I wanted to sign myself up for ballet so I could wear pointe slippers and a pink tutu?
DSC_1224
I restrained myself.
Until our next outing.
Gosh darn, I hope she never decides to be all "boyish".

Dumb Mom is a mom to dudes!
I like her alot.
