The journey

The journey not the arrival matters.
T. S. Eliot
These 6 words remind me that everyday is a journey. Appreciate what you have. Don't focus on what you do not have. Sometimes the trip to get wherever you are going means more than actually getting there.
In my 34 years on this earth I have gone through many tough times but looking back on it, I would not change a thing because I am who I am today because of that journey.
Life is wonderful isn't it?

2 years ago today..........

I was in Las Vegas.

For the first time.

And I fell in love.

Yes, I think I could actually live there, believe it or not. Or maybe move there for a few months and then decide that it was over -stimulating and then want to come back to my simple life.

Hubby and I went for our first 3 day vacation WITHOUT CHILDREN!!

WITHOUT CHILDREN!!!

While being tourist, I walked down the strip with my camera in hand and comfy flip flops on. Ok, really, I took the bus but did walk a bit. Hubby was doing work related business so I was on my own.

On the Strip. By myself.

And I went here. For the second time. (We went the day before)

A multi-level M&M's store. If you have ever wondered what Heaven looks like, I think it may look like the inside of this store.

Look at my face. I am high on chocolate. The smell of chocolate. Chocolate everywhere.

I admit..... I inhaled hoping that little particles of chocolate would be ingested into my body.

Is there such a thing as a Chocolate Intervention?

On second thought, I don't want one. I am quite happy being a chocoholic thank you very much.

WW-2 years ago

If you want to know just how much I love my (silly) dog, scroll down.

I am going to do something different for my Wordful Wednesday post this week. I am sure it is not a unique and original idea but if you want to do the same, go for it and leave me a message to let me know so I can see it.

I am going to show pictures taken on this day.

In the year 2007

February 11, 2007 we were here.

It was a cold and snowy weekend but this place is there and we wanted to feel like it was summer. Ok, it didnt feel like summer at all because we were indoors, but it was fun.

Even though it was freezing, we still wanted the boys to see The Falls. They had never been there and we had never seen it in the winter, so off we went. This is what we saw.

We saw ice and water. Alot of ice and spraying water. It is not enjoyable to be sprayed with water in -25 degree weather. It is not fun to stand outside with two young children whining about being cold while being sprayed with water.
Our memorable visit to see the Falls in the winter was about 30 seconds long. Long enough for me to run and take a few pictures and that was it.
A beautiful sight but much more beautiful inside a car. Or in the summer.
