I was all ready for this week's tour of children's bedrooms and then it got changed to guest rooms.
Boohoo.
I am sorry to disappoint you this week. Be prepared for plain and boring.
Our spare room is also known as the Lego room. Formerly known as Rowdy's room until the boys decided they wanted to share rooms.
It is a room with a cheap area rug, a few empty dressers and cheap plastic drawers full of Lego.
Really sad huh?
So here it is. View of the closet that is full of.....umm...stuff. Stuff that doesnt have a place in our house yet and probably never will.
Area rug with a Hot Wheels car parked all by itself.
Told you it is a sad room. Even the dinky car is lonesome.
The Lego and Tinker Toys.....and....umm...other crap that needs to find its way to a garage sale.
The only good thing about this room is the view.
Once again I apologize. I am sure next week will be better.
If you have any wonderful ideas for this room, I will take them.
But just remember that this will eventually be Rowdy's room again as I am sure the sharing a bedroom will not last very long.
Please and thank you.

Kinda Plain. Just think, though, you will have almost a clean slate to work with.
P.S. Don't sell those legos in the rummage(if they are the small ones, not those great big ones). My little boy is crazy about them and they are so expensive. If you'll ship them, I would buy them from you. Let me know.

I know. . .I was all ready for children's bedrooms, too. No guest room for me--mine are all kid's rooms now. I do like your wood floors!
Oh, your spare room looks rather glamourous compared with ours. At the moment, our spare room has every scrap/craft/fabric/paint thing in it set every which way just waiting to be organized!
At least it's clean. My spare room is ridiculously messy! :-)
Don't worry my guest bedroom is used for storage right now!!
the floors in your house are just beautiful. I love the color of the wood.
Oh I like this playroom idea actually. (And don't get rid of the Legos! Legos will always be cool, for grandkids if not for them in a few years.) Have you thought about making it into a homework room with desks and chalkboard/whiteboard paint and maps and such? This could easily convert back to a bedroom with half the homework stuff going into the original shared bedroom.
I thought your spare room looked clean and uncluttered. And there's plenty of room for your kids to play in!
Yeah, I was disappointed, too. I don't even have a guest room! Thanks for sharing!

I'm just back from vacation and catching up with your blog and had to comment on this post. First, I love peeking into people's houses ... so these posts satisfy my inner peeing tom (nice living room by the way) but there is nothing sadder than a Matchbox car all by itself. It just made me smile a little bit to see it. : )
