Your granite is pretty.
We use a lot of paper plates and cups around here. Not super eco-friendly but it helps me have a lot less to pick up. My family likes to rinse things off and leave them in the sink. Hello? The dishwasher is RIGHT THERE. Maybe you should print out your post and laminate it and tape it to the dishwasher. Maybe I'LL print your post and laminate it and tape it to MY dishwasher. :)
I would like my family to use the trash can.
Ha! I have the other problem...my little boys won't stop pulling dirty dishes out of the dishwasher when I'm trying to load it!
