Every year, close to the kids birthdays I take pictures. The boys wear their Dad's shirt.
I had this idea when I had one easy going child.
It seemed like a great way to document his growth and development through the years.
Then I had another child.
A spirited child.
And another child.
A diva.
Now I just want to get one good picture and be happy.
That is all I ask for.
ONE.STINKIN.PICTURE
Apparently that is too much to ask for from my 2 year old.

I have found that often I wish the simplest things from my 3 year old and always wonder why she just can deliver! ;) She's still cute and I love that idea!
Sometimes we just ask for too much from our kids. Hahaha
That is a great idea! I can see how it would be easier with a...uh more relaxed child. Maybe when she is sleeping?

I am in love with this idea! Too bad I can't go back in time to read this post before I had my child. (though I don't think time travel logistics actually work for what I just said). But what a b*tch your diva is!! (SO TOTALLY KIDDING! That was just for comedic effect. Don't get upset that I'm calling your darling daughter a b*tch.)
What you've captured is that child in that moment. a memory of jut how the child was that year.

LOL! Kids just don't get how much fun it is going to be to see pictures of themselves when they were little!
I was going to do this same thing with my wedding dress. I did it twice with Reid, then I packed up the dress and put it in the rafters!!!
