It is OK to laugh. I laugh at myself all of the time.
I have been going to the gym, but I am bored and felt I wasn't working myself hard enough.
So I had the brilliant idea to drive to the local recreation complex and run the track.
I ran/walked 5 miles the first night.
And havent walked normally since.
But I am determined.
I am determined to become a runner.
Because they have bodies like this.
And I want that body.
But as I run, I see my reflection in the windows and notice things.
Jiggly tummy.
Jiggly boobs.
Jiggly thighs.
I am nowhere near the way I want to look and once again feel like I am left out of the "Cool Club".
I want to be a part of the "Cool Runners Club".
I don't want jiggly parts anymore.
But my legs hurt.
And my feet ache.
And I like to eat.
Is there such a club known as the "Cool Jiggly Runners Club"?
I think I could be President.
This post was loosely inspired by MamaKat and her wonderful weekly prompts. I bet she doesnt have jiggly parts.

I hate to tell you this, but I ran for two years and never looked erm, quite like that. The whole gazelle thing? It's inherited, I think :P
That being said, I LOVE LOVE LOVE that you're running! Way to go! And I may just join you when my asthmatic lungs like me again in the spring. Then you can cheer me on. It feels GREAT. You'll get hooked quickly. Enjoy!
did I ever tell you about the time I joined a running club in toronto to train for the underwear affair - well no one told me that this club was for marathon runners. Can you imagine - dying at a 1/4 mile while folks who have successfully completed a marathon buzz by you. Seriously - I had no business being there. However I will once in my life run a 1/2 marathon. You in? In the meantime you should join Steve and I this summer: http://www.warriordash.com/index.php
Good for you for running! My body has threatened to quit on me if I ever try it...
I would be the vice pres. of the jiggly club :)
Are you accepting members already?
You've just inspired me that even with my third wheel around my belly, I think I'll need to take this running up. My post was all about food today and now I have to work it off. :-(
Stopping by from Mama Kat's.
I'm sure to have jiggly parts because of my own post from Mama Kat's site..."Ode to a Stale Cookie." I'm never going to have the body of a runner on a magazine, but you know what? I'm darn happy eating cookies and writing poems about them! Nice post!
EVERYONE has jiggly parts. Ever heard of PhotoShop? Don't beat yourself up:) Just be healthy.
I would totally join your Jiggly Runner's Club! I have tried to combat jiggle since I was old enough to understand fitness, and it never goes away. Over time, I have come to accept that little bit of extra jiggle, especially since it is part of who I am. And I am much happier since I have learned to embrace it. It's so much easier to embrace it than to strive to make your body something it was never made to be.
Nice thing about the jiggly runners club is you won't be a member of it for long if you keep running. Then you will have a new club to join. The Firm, Fit runners club. My body so far has refused to cooperate and every time I try to run, my back revolts with muscle spasms the next day. Keep it up. I'm rooting for you!
Wow, good for you for running! I'm not sure I've ever done 5 miles of anything, except maybe at Disney World. And that included rides and junk food.
Visiting from MamaKat's!

LOL, I think I need to join your club :)
Love this post! If you start a runner's club for jiggly women, please let me know! I'd love to join.
;o)
I want that body ... but without the running! I jiggle everywhere ... and my boobs hurt if I "bounce" too much. Walking is for me!
