Grandpa.

My husband has a 95 year old Grandfather who still lives in his own home, does his own laundry, cuts his own grass, plants his own flowers and prepares his own meals.
Grandpa comes to our house every weekend to help out around the farm.
Whether it is building fences,
or horse stalls,
or driving tractors.
He does it.

Pretty special huh?

He also packs up many {unhealthy} treats for the kids, loads them in to a box and brings them here.
Every week.
I am thinking of asking him to pay for my children's dental bills when they end up with cavities from all of the {unhealthy} snacks.
But that wouldnt be right, because the joy he has brought to my children {and husband.....and me} is priceless.

Grandparents have the right to indulge the little ones with unhealthy treats. How awesome that he's so active and that you see him often.

My husband's grandmother is on her 90's and is very similar to your grandfather (90's, living on her own, independent, etc). She is also addicted to Facebook which I find hilarious.
Last Thanksgiving she was helping me cook in her kitchen which is hopelessly outdated. She was telling me that she would really like to replace the old countertops and then paused and said, but I would really rather spend the money on a trip to Atlantic City! And that is why I love her!
Oh and she feeds my children real fried french fries at 7 in the morning.
I love the picture and I wish you many more years of happiness with Grandpa!

That is an absolutely amazing picture. I love how you see the humor in their relationship with all the sweets. Beautiful.

Your family is so blessed to have Grandpa ... and may we all have the quality of life that he has when we are 95. Wow! And that is what grandparents are for ... treats and causing cavities! ; )

That is just SO special. I was sad when we moved away from my kids' great-grandparents when we left Texas. They are so blessed to have them at all. I never knew any of mine.

Love that photo. :)
