They had a cage with two adorable lop-eared bunnies given up because the owner passed away.
I was in love.
Then we brought them home and I realized, that, like my children, bunnies were alot of work.
And they stunk.
But we stuck to our responsibilities and loved them even though they were messy and stinky.
I still have my kids too.
I deserve an award.
Clyde's sister, Bonnie passed away unexpectedly a few years ago, but Clyde, even though he was broken hearted and lonely, kept kicking. Literally.
Until last week when his old body got tired and he went to Bunny Heaven to be with his sister.
*sniff*
The children were upset. They planned a memorial service. I videotaped it.
They don't look too upset in the video, but they were. Take my word.

Oh how sad :(
Your poor kids. It's so hard to lose a pet.
We lost 2 dogs this year after 10+ years with each and it's just heartbreaking...
Aww. poor kids. It's hard to loose a pet, especially for kids.
(By the way, love your blog title)
Makes me tear up just thinking of the pets I lost as an adult, I can't imagine how much harder it is for kids!
That is precious... R.I.P. Clyde
Oh, I think this post made me miss Clyde, too.
Was Clyde the one who scared those guys who were taking the stoves? I think that is my favorite bunny memory of yours.
It's a bit sad when pets have to die. Sadder for some pets than others. I'm sure he was a well cared for, well loved bunny.
Your kids are precious. I think this funeral was PERFECT.
I don't care how old or young you are, losing a pet is tough. :(
We had something similar for the family hamster when he passed away recently. So sweet, but sorry your cute pet is gone. :(
Awwww! That's so sad. At least Clyde is now with his sister in bunny heaven.

Oh poor cute little fluffy Clyde! How sad and yet so precious! You're a good mom for recording it. Your children will appreciate that years from now. RIP, Clyde.
My heart is breaking for you. I am so sorry.
Awww…it is tough to lose a beloved pet … but I think you gave Clyde a wonderful life and a lovely goodbye.
