Potty Time.

Hi.
I used to be around blogging, reading blogs, commenting on blogs, and, well living a somewhat normal life, but lately I am spending alot of time in the bathroom.
Yes, I have tummy issues, but no, it's not because of me.
We are in the midst of potty training hell.

Yes, I am ready to say buh bye to diapers after 9 years, but taking my three old to the potty every 30 seconds is not enjoyable.
I admit, sometimes I wish she would just pee in her diaper so we can get on with our life instead of sitting in the bathroom chatting about "ginas" and "wieners" for-e-v-e-r.
We have also discussed world events and financial solutions.
And given hair and makeup tips and browsed many catalogues.
Fun times, if I didn't have zillions of other things to do.

Another problem.
She refuses to wear big girl underwear or even Pull Ups with princesses on them.
She will only wear a diaper.
Because she likes to poop in diapers. In the corner. Out of sight.

Not a big deal I guess but it brings me back to a few years ago when my four year old son was still pooping in his underwear/Pull Up.  I was convinced he would be crapping his pants until he was 23 and now I am terrified daughter will never ever poop on the potty.

Please tell me she will and that diapers will never, ever have to come into this house again.
Until I have grandchildren.

I bet Cecily's kids pooped on the potty by the age of 2.

Oh no! I am so sorry. So very sorry. I remember thinking my 3 year old would never get potty trained. I was going crazy. And then, one day, it was all over. PHEW! : ) I will pray that it happens sooner than later for you.

We've all had that moment when we were convinced that we'd be sending out kids to college still wearing diapers. Maybe you could tell her that they don't make diapers in her size anymore and that once the ones you have are gone she'll HAVE to wear big girl underwear?

This will all soon be a distant memory. Promise.

My oldest was 4.5 before he was completely done. Potty training is evil.

Good Luck! :)

She will ... eventually. I remember how frustrating that was ... and then, when they decide to finally do it, it is easy and you wonder what you worried about.

I have to admit that my children were easy to potty-train. But I have nieces and nephews who were not, and at least one friend who kept her children in diapers until they were 3 just because it was easier. I'd just throw out the diapers and make sure she has a lot of fiber. She'll have to start pooping somewhere other than in a corner sooner or later. Of course, that does NOT make your life any easier. Potty training is not fun. It's a pain (even when it goes smoothly). But when it is FINALLY done and you have no more diapers ever, well, THAT is the BEST!
