Cold. Freezing. Brrrrrr.

I live in Canada.
Sometimes I wish my ancestors packed up and made the trip down south towards Florida...Texas...even Georgia.
But nope. They stuck it out here for all those years in the cold, wintery weather.
And now here I sit freezing my tushy and my toes.

These are my slippers because my feet are always cold and I refuse to wear socks when I am in my home.

These are Princess' feet because her feet are always cold and she refuses to wear socks or slippers when in her home.

This is Ike the horse.

See the steam coming out of his nostrils?
That is because it is friggin cold.

This is an icicle coming out of an eavestrough at the back of our barn.

The icicle is there because it is cold and the eavestrough is dented because Ike likes to bite it.
Whatever.

This is the frozen ditch in front of our home.

My children like to walk in it but they usually get their feet soaked.... ..and then they whine and complain that their feet are cold.

I am convinced that they do not understand the cause and effect concept, but whatever.

These are the naked trees at the back of our property.
It is cold back there.
And everywhere.

Errr....you'd change your mind about your ancestors moving to Texas around about August (if not sooner)....

Trust me.

Now....North Carolina? That might be do-able for you.

Unless you are from Texas....then around January/February you *might* start complaining.....

We spend the summer in Canada every year and every year my children ask to go back during winter so they could see snow and play in it. I think we'll stick to only summer for now. :)

I'm with you on abandoning the cold weather! I'm sick of winter already :)

Love the gutter and the ditch shots. Really great angles on them!
