Discombobulated

On Mothers Day we had an impromptu photo session outside of my Grandma's house that I love so much.

Brother, Mom and Me

The smell.
The decor that has filled it since I was little.
The cookies in the cupboard.
The celebrations.
The family.

Excuse me for being mushy about family.....again.

Family is on my mind alot lately.
DSC_0582
Because I am missing the man who had a part in creating my life.
But when I look at these pictures, I think of a few things.
DSC_0578
I remind myself that my family isn't broken.
We will only get stronger.
And that I should totally get rid of these "Everyone focus on my crotch jeans".

Seriously, why didn't anyone point out the lines totally pointing at my womanly parts???
I am so discombobulated.

Dear Mom.
Since when did you get so short?
Dear Children
Since when did you get so tall?
Dear Me
Throw out your jeans and start acting like a 37 year old!!
Find out if discombobulated is a real word.
If it is, use it in every sentence because it is fun to say.
Love Me

Have you ever had a wardrobe malfunction?
Have you ever thought you looked cool only to find out later that you are totally a dork?
Please say yes.

Totally a word and I try to use it as often as possible. I love when people stare at me for a few seconds too as if they're trying to figure out what I just said.

I am guilty of walking out the door thinking I am hiding my fat well behind my clothes and then I see a picture. *sigh*

There is a pic of me and my brothers and my parents from Easter where I asked the same thing - when did my parents get so short - ha!

And yes on the realizing I looked like a dork but honestly I did not notice that about your jeans until you pointed that out. You're totally cool. :)

I LOVE those pictures! Love them. And if that's you looking like a dork, then I'm a doofus. ;)

Once I got these comfy shorts that were orange. I didn't notice it but, I was told by my husband that the shorts + my spray on tan made me look orange. Threw the suckers out.

Have a great weekend!

I just wear jeans and oversize t-shirts. The only malfunction I've had was when I ripped my jeans at the mall around Christmas time while we were going to get Santa photos.

You have such a beautiful family! I love your impromptu family photo shoot :) It's nice because those pictures are ones you can look back on and think, "I'm so glad we thought to do that!"

As for your question, I'm absolutely SURE I've had a clothing-dork moment, but I can't bring any occurrence to mind at the moment.

My sister on the other hand would argue I have my dork moments every time I get dressed. LOL

Have a wonderful holiday weekend!

Discombobulated is a word!!! (At least, I think it is! Spell check didn't underline it! :))

We have a photo of my entire family taken after my dad's funeral and every time I look at it, I just see who is missing. Then I remind myself to remember those who are still in the photo. You look fantastic. Discombobulated is a word.
