*mice/rats...any rodent-like creature
*amusement park characters {aka creepy people dressed up}
*frogs/toads
*my children getting sick/hurt or any of that other parent crap
But, I am not afraid of spiders.
I feel like I should be, because every female I am around is terrified of them.
But, really. I am not.
Actually I don't mind them one bit.
What are you afraid of????
Do amusement park characters freak you out?

And, can you help us name our new puppy?
I will love you forever and ever if you give me your choice from our list.
Thanks muchly.

I'm not afraid of spiders, but I don't like them, either.
What scares me? The idea of people driving drunk or hurting my kids...probably not what you meant, though.
I like spiders, when they are not poisonous (and most of them aren't) and when they are not ON me. My chickens like to eat spiders, so we don't have very many around.
I also like snakes, if they aren't poisonous. Snakes eat mice. Mice are cute, but I don't want them anywhere near my house because they carry diseases. I'm afraid of diseases, and bad bacteria, and viruses that can kill people.
I'm afraid of the government a little bit. And racist people. Racist people scare me. Angry people scare me. I don't like mean people either.
Court. Court scares me. Judges can be so out of touch and attorneys are really expensive. :P
Burglers scare me.
But thankfully, I'm not scared by the creepy crawly things. Well, not the ones in America. :)
Spiders don't really scare me (I just kill 'em and move on), but FISH (of the live, not on my plate variety) totally freak me out. I know that's weird, but good gosh they're skeevy. :)
P.S. I really like you a lot too.
Phones. And sometimes heights. And spiders over my head. Eeek!
Your photos, as creepy as spiders look, are beautiful!
I'm afraid of any kind of creepy-crawly thing - spiders, bugs, mice, snakes UGH! Of course, I'm also afraid of something happening to one of my kids or husband. We have teens so it's scary as they start going out on their own more and more.
I'm afraid of everything that falls under the category of creepy crawly, especially if they startle me with their creepy-crawly-ness. :)
Fox vs. Rabbit
I don't care for spiders, snakes, rats or any other intruder in my house for that matter. I've had more than what I consider my share when we were rural without any neighbors within hollering distance. ;)
I'm afraid of another big war.
Have a great weekend!

You know, I am afraid of spiders. They do creep me out. But still, some of them, like that one, are beautiful. I had one just like this that made a web out the outside of my dorm window in college, and I left her there until a friend decided enough was enough and smashed him. I thought she was beautiful and fascinating, though she creeped me out sometimes.
Here's a photo of a spider I took you might enjoy (got the willies taking the picture, but it was worth it). She was bout the same size as your spider (over an inch long). Later made an egg sack nearly the size of a golf ball.

I know how beneficial spiders are to the lawn, garden, so I would never kill one, even in the house. These are great macros.
