Found!

Guys, I found them!

After 6 weeks, the hidden kittens have appeared.

They have been hiding away in the loft/roof of our barn, tucked down in the soffit.
I don't know what a soffit is, but that's what hubby called it so I am taking his word.
Whatever.

I lured them out with the smell of gross, disgusting, fishy-smelling canned food....
...and my kitty cat sounds.
DSC_0618
I am totally positive it was my kitty sounds that convinced them to appear from the depths of wherever they were, and not the food.

As you can see, I think they hated the food.

A few things I should mention
Blackie, their mommy has been missing for many days.
I have only seen three of the five kittens.
They are extremely mean and nasty to humans.
Hubby wants me to keep them mean and nasty so they don't invade our home with the other little buggers.
I want them to be nice so we can give them away to little trick or treaters.
I mean, seriously....
kids would love to be handed a kitten instead of candy, right?

Nifty idea but I'm pretty sure the parents would be less than enthusiastic about your generosity.

Those blue eyes on one of those kittens are breathtaking.

Thanks for sharing with YSB this week.

I've never seen blue eyes on a black cat... hoping they find a good home!

I would let them stay barn cats--you can still see and visit them and they would have a great time! There is nothing cuter than kittens!

Sorry to say, but if they are not handled very early on, they will be wild and detached. I had two like that and both took off for a better place to live. Hurt my feelings to tell the truth.

Hope momma turns up so you can get her spayed. Lol.

(Oooh! Look at your new spanky blog. I like it.)

If my kids heard you were handing out kittens instead of candy, they'd be one you like white on rice.

I've turned wild kittens around but it takes extreme patience. I give them food and sit close, but not too close and I don't look directly at them. I continually speak so they are used to my voice. Slowly over time I get closer and closer and begin to look at them when I am speaking to them. Pretty soon they are yours. I have one that I'm still the only person that can handle it. The others are now charmers themselves. Good luck.

Oh look at those kitten eyes!!!

And I think the kids would LOVE to get a kitten instead of candy. The parents, however, are a different story.

Oh my gosh...If I didn't already have 6 cats I'd be asking for one of them. Super adorable!
