The day we went for a hike and my children didnt go missing.

I love fall.
I love my Mama.
I love when my Mama comes over so we can go for a fall hike through the hills of the end of our road, which used to be a road, but now is just a closed road full of hills and dirt.
Full of orange and red and yellow leaves.
Full of wildlife that we didn't see because my children are so incredibly loud that the creatures hear us from miles away.

Last time we hiked up there, the boys hid on us and wouldn't answer as we screamed their names and searched high and low for any signs of life.
We were convinced a bear ate them, or coyotes surrounded them and scurried off with them in their mouths.  We were sure a pedophile found them and convinced them {with candy} to come to his wilderness cabin to play touchy feely games.
It's amazing how many horrible thoughts go through your head when you think your children are missing.

But anyways...........

We survived this hike.
No one went missing.
No one soiled their pants because they were scared their children went missing.
No one soiled their pants because they were scared of their angry parents.
I call that a successful outing.
Amen.

It is gorgeous there and my boys would LOVE to play all day long out there. In fact, I think we need to schedule a playdate. I'll start booking my plane tickets now.

That is story book beautiful!

If my kids hid like that on a hike I would be soooooooooooooooooo mad. That would freak me out. They'd be grounded FOREVER. Or at least a week. :P
