Excuse me while I have a moment

Excuse me while I have a moment.
Or two.
Or seventy-three.

Today I turned 35 years old.
And I am having a really hard time with it.

I am officially closer to 40 than 30.

How could that be when it feels like just months ago I was studying for tests, wearing pastel pink dollar store lipstick and learning how to drive?

I am 35.
I don't feel old....but I feel like I am getting old.
Make sense????

Life is just going by too fast and I am forgetting to enjoy the moments...the seconds.....because I am too busy cleaning up cookie crumbs and dirty socks.

I am stressed about groceries.
Buying new jeans with no holes in the knees.
What to make for dinner.
Finding the lost library books.
And making sure the dog doesn't eat food off of the counter.

I am 35.

And before I blink, I will be 40....45....50.

Excuse me while I have a moment.

Ohhh sweetie.....happy birthday.

Yeah, 40's not so bad. It's the idea of 45 that has me freaked out.....

and yeah, it does go pretty quickly.

My sentiments exactly. I just turned 34 so I am one behind you. It's crazy how we don't FEEL so old and yet definitely age each year! Crazy! Enjoy all the wonderful crazy beautiful moments of your life!!! I hope you enjoyed your birthday (aging notwithstanding)!!!

You certainly are entitled to have your moment. Turning 30 was the birthday that kicked my @$$.
Now I'm 37 and it doesn't bother me at all, and I'm looking forward to turning 40, which is really just weird.
Happy Birthday!

Take your moment...happy birthday. From a nearly 43 year old, let me tell you, we do get better with age....

Oh, happy, happy birthday!

What a cute baby you were.

And, what is it with the years getting shorter and shorter?

I actually had this moment twice -- once when I turned thirty one (30 is more like the culmination of your twenties...) and again when I turned 35, and was on the downward slope to 40.

I'll be 38 this year, and it turns out it's not so bad :)

Happy Birthday!
