The post in which I make fun of myself....again.

I recently came across this photograph taken at my bridal shower almost exactly 11 years ago.
Lets just say I almost cried for many reasons.
Just look at it.
Huck 001
Notice anything?
Don't lie.
The huge glasses. Why didn't anyone tell me that they took up my entire face?
The major dark circles under my eyes. I have an excuse now, but 11 years ago before children I should have picked some better makeup....or at least worn some.
The lack of boob support. I had no idea my boobs looked so droopy when I was a young soon-to-be married child-less gal. Sigh.
My mouth takes up the entire picture.  It is just a picture of big eyes and big mouth.  Hot.
Go ahead and say it.  I know you're thinking it.
 I look like a Muppet

The vertical blinds.  Gag. Puke.  I needed Martha Stewart to come to my house.
Why didn't anyone tell me to get my act together or they wouldn't be seen in public with me?
I was a complete mess.
And Busy still married me.
Sucker.

*This post was not written as an attempt to get compliments because, quite frankly, there arent any in this picture.  But...if you told me that you were a hot mess 11 years ago too, I would feel much better.
Kthanksbye.

DumbMom was always hot.

Sweetie; I look at that picture and I see ME a lifetime ago! I, too, had the HUGE glasses; in fact, if memory serves mine may have been bigger....

But, I also see a woman who is happy and excited. Ready to embark on a whole new life.

So, basically? It's beautiful.

I see nothing but happiness in your eyes and in your big smile.

But now that you mention all that other stuff... ;)

feeling a tad bit shy...as I had..ahem...have those glasses on right now. LOL. Though I do not leave the house with them ;)

OK, I can see myself in your picture (minus the glasses). Why did I have to be like 33 before I discovered a good bra? Seriously. I think that when we are younger we are naturally pretty beautiful (I mean, if you take off the glasses and the shirt you probably looked pretty good) so we assume that we look good with everything we put on. Or maybe that was just me. And now I look back and think "what the heck was I thinking?!"

And yes, you were still very pretty, even with the glasses.

If it makes you feel any better, in my engagement picture I look like a wild-haired, uh, wild-hairy girl who has no idea how to dress. And I still have no idea how to dress. But I"m getting a clue about my hair, finally. Just as it starts leaning toward gray. LOL

Hee hee! Glad to see I wasn't the only one who opted for giant glasses for years and years!

I threw out a set of blinds just like that in powder blue from the previous owner. You weren't the only one who was sporting them! & I think powder blue is much worse, haha. :-)
