Big Foot

I don't post anything for a few days and I lose a follower!
Geesh...the pressure to keep you guys happy is going to cause me to drink.
*cough*

Lets discuss feet.
I hate feet.
Baby feet I love.  I can touch, squeeze and even nibble on baby toes, but once those baby feet become stinky, boy feet, I don't want them anywhere near me please and thank you.

I believe God is punishing me for hating feet by giving my 8 year old, man-sized feet.

My feet----8 year old feet

The 8 year old wears a men's size 10 boot.
Hold me.
Not only does he have stinky, man-sized feet.
We now have to spend a frickin fortune buying his footwear every season.

I am losing sleep wondering if he will be a size 18 by the time he is a teenager.
Will we have to special order his footwear like rich basketball players do?
Except we aren't rich.

His boot----my shoe

Will he have to go out and get a job at the age of 9 to raise money for his Big Feet Fund?
Are kids going to tease him?
Or will they be terrified of him?

One thing I do know.
The girls will love him.

You know what they say about big feet.........

*snort*
Did I just say that?

Horses.Boots.Cuteness.

Someone got new horsey boots.
I think she loves them more than she loves me.
DSC_0280
But that is OK, because there is nothing cuter than seeing my 3 year old toddle around the horse pasture showing Ike and Duke the {real} horses her new horsey boots.
DSC_0281
My heart explodes when I tell her that Ike and Duke think her boots are "nice" and she corrects me by saying "No, Mom. They think they are pwetty"

I die.
Someone please freeze time so I will always have a three year old little girl.
But take away the tantrums.
Thanks muchly.

Feet

Apparently I have an obsession with photographing my children's feet.
It started about 8 years ago when oldest child came out of my womb and the first words out of the doctors and nurses mouths were "Look at the size of his feet!"

And then on the day middle child was born, before the doctor entered the room, the nurses commented on his toes.

Ever since, I have been fascinated.

And in love with my children's beautiful, perfect, {very large} feet.
Especially when they are clean

I seem to have an obsession with body parts

Cheaper Than Therapy
First I did a post on the hands of a 93 year old man.

Now......

Feet.

Not the feet of a 93 year old man because I just wouldnt do that.

Ever.

So here you have it.

A fun

foto

of my family's fenomenal feet

minus the females.

It's a fact.

I am not a fan of feet.

But I do love my family's feet.

Because they are faultless.......

when they are not filthy.

Filthy feet freak me out.

So I fight......

and finagle....

fiercely

to keep my family's feet clean.

And when they are,

I find my foto-taker

and take fotos of my favourite feet in the whole entire world.

FASHION ALERT! FASHION ALERT!

Havent you heard?
There is a new "must wear" for every frazzled, rushed, stressed out mom!
Are you rushing to get out of the house?
Are your kids whining as you lock the door?
Did you forget your purse?
Have alot on your mind?

Well, wear what I wore yesterday as I headed out with the three kidlets for haircuts and back to school shopping.

People will look.
People will stare.
People will whisper.

People will probably talk about you after you leave.

Go ahead.

I dare you.

Yes, I wore two different sandals. Well, the same but different colours.
No, I did not notice until I was sitting down at the hair salon.

I know.

You wish you were me.

I Heart Feet!

Most of you know that I am slightly obsessed with taking pictures of my kid's feet.
Clean feet though.
No dirty feet, thank you very much.

So when the wonderful, amazing, spectacular I Heart Faces people said they were doing a Feet Week, I jumped at the chance.

I know I have posted this picture here on my blog before.
But I love it.
Alot.

So here it is again.

I could just eat these chubby little toes.
When they are 100% clean that is.

Aloha Friday-Just between you and me-

I am about to share something that doesnt get talked about very often.

Consider yourself to be on my "in list" because I dont talk about this to just anyone.

Unless you are my hubby. My mother. Or my pedicurist.

Is pedicurist a word? If not, I have dibs on it so dont pretend that you invented it or I will hunt you down and stick my feet in your face.

Anyways, I want to talk about feet.

I do not like feet. They are funny looking and kinda creep me out. They can be stinky. They can be dirty. They can be just plain old ugly.

Unless they are baby feet. That is completely different.

I digress.........

I have feet issues. Genetics has blessed me with dry feet. And other things like cellulite but that is another post for another day. I do not enjoy dry feet one bit. Frankly, it sucks big time and as I get older I am sure it will just get worse.

I have tried everything. Lubing them with petroleum jelly and wrapping them in plastic wrap. Using every "dry foot cream" on the market to find out that they were a complete waste of money. Soaking my feet in an expensive foot bath that even vibrates. Nice, but didnt work.

My solution at the moment is getting a pedicure every 3 weeks. It is a tough solution but seems to be doing the job. Every three weeks I have two hours to myself at a spa and have someone soak, scrape and pretty up my feet.

I know, I know. You feel sorry for me. It is a really hard treatment but I feel it is necessary to cure the painful cracked skin I have been suffering from.

While getting my feet worked over, I get told that there really is nothing I can do to cure my dry feet/cracking till they bleed syndrome. I get told to use some foot salve and scrape my feet every night before bed.

I get told to wear socks. Then I let her know for the 20 millionth time that I do not wear socks. I do not like socks. It is warm weather season and socks do not exist in my wardrobe. She tells me to wear them to bed. I say no.

Same thing, every time.

Then she tells me to wear slippers.

So I do.

And I have been for the last 10 years.

It doesnt work either.

But I still wear slippers.

Do you have a dry feet cure?

Do you wear slippers?

What do they look like?

Are slippers dorky?

Aloha Friday is hosted by this wonderful gal. Click on the button to check out other questions...which are probably much more interesting than mine!
